Get Harry Potter 1, 2, or 3 for $5.88 Each

Into Harry Potter are you? Target is selling each of the movies for $5.88 each in either Wide Screen or Full Screen format. We are talking DVD's here. VHS is so 80's. :)

They might have a shelf tag of $13.xx, but apparently they are ringing up for $5.88.

FWIW, they also have the Lord of the Rings Series available also for $5.88 each. Might make a good Christmas gift for someone.

Get 'em while you can. This was a deal I found on Slick Deals.

Playing In The Leaves

This Sunday, while the weather was somewhat nice, the kids helped me out in the yard. Let me preface this by saying I absolutely HATE leaves. I think they hate me too. Here in Dover you just rake your leaves into the street and the city sucks them up. So if you don't rake your leaves at the right time, they could sit there for a week. This usually happens as they get the leaves on Friday. The weekend is when your most likely going to do your yardwork anyway. Then along comes the leaves best friend... WIND! And most of the leaves blow right back into the yard! :)

Anyway, I digress. So the kids went out and helped me pick up sticks and leaves. After awhile, we needed a little break. So we raked a big pile of leaves and I let them play in it for a bit. They had a blast.

I took a few pictures which you can find over @ Flickr.

So far I've gotten lucky. The leaves have stayed put for the most part and the yard still looks nice. :) I hate leaves!

Happy Thanksgiving

So my friend Chris sent me this picture via email and I thought it was cute, so I ripped it off and put it in my blog. :)

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'll try and post some photos over @ Flickr as the day develops. The current plans are to stop by my parents and visit for a bit. My grandmother is up from Jersey. Then it's off to my in-laws for a turkey feast.

Cade has been sick for the last few days. I had taken off anyway since our daycare provider took a scheduled vacation during this time. I think he's well enough now so that we can go out and see other people.

If you missed it, it snowed last night. It's gone now, of course. But as we went to bed everything was covered in a light layer of snow. The kids were so excited. I think they are going to be disappointed when they wake up today. :)

Sorry I haven't posted lately, but there isn't a whole heck of a lot going on. I think I'll just throw more posts in that just interest me.

Have a GREAT Thanksgiving! Christmas, here we come!

Hackin' The TiVo

If you know anything about me, I like to modify electronic devices to do things they were not originally intended to do. For whatever reason, some manufacturers cripple products. That's not ok with me.

We call this hacking or modding. At any rate, it's one of my hobbies. So recently a buddy of mine from work signed up for DirecTV per my advice. He wanted DVR's, so I suggested he get the receivers with built in TiVo. He got them and ended up falling in love with them.

I, myself, am a ReplayTV fan. I have two hacked units that are networked together and share shows between rooms and with a PC in the other room. TiVo itself I have had little to no experience with. Up until just recently I hadn't even touched one.

While I had talked my buddy into getting the TiVo receivers, I also knew that DirecTV crippled them and locked out many features. Additionally, I knew that there were other features I could hack in that TiVo doesn't even offer. Sounds like a challenge to me! :)

So the research began and I did my homework. This weekend I hacked all three of his units. Everything went flawless. There is one main feature that I hacked in that we can't test until I get some parts I ordered from eBay (USB ethernet adapters). But overall it was a big success.

What project is next? I've been wanting to hack a PSP, but don't have the real need to fork over the cash for it. I'm sure Cade would like it though. :)

What A Cheesy Grin!

Revenge of the school photo. Here we have Cade's first school photo. When he trys to smile, while thinking about it, the picture never comes out well. Too funny. He's got a great smile when he doesn't think about it.

So here is Cade's kindergarten class. He loves school, reading with mom, and even doing homework. He's a great influence on Cale because he emulates what he sees Cade doing. He even wants to do homework. :)
