Caching In MD

This weekend I visited Ken's for a caching weekend. I hit nine caches total and had an absolute blast. Heather, Ken's girlfriend, even joined us on a few before heading off to meet a friend.

One of the caches we did was a nano with a difficulty of 4 out of 5 (not the one pictured). The size of this thing was as small as your finger tip. Neither Ken or I like to give up. One of the clues was somewhat vague. We didn't know what it meant, so I used a lifeline and Phoned-A-Friend. Shelly hooked us up with a little Google searching and got us on the right path. Thank you Shelly. I love you! :) It took us an hour and a half to find this little bastard, but we found it. The cache was both frustrating and fun.

After the caching we hit his community pool with May, Ken's good friend. This pool was awesome! The kids would have had a blast. They keep bugging me to take them to Ken's. Now they want to go even more. Hopefully I can get them over there sometime soon.

After swimming we hit a resturant and then a bar later to meet some of Heather's freinds. The weekend was great. It was a welcomed break to all the computer work I have been doing lately on the side.

Check out some new photos over at Flickr. All of page one is new and there are 3 or so new pictures on page two.

Hershey Park Fun

Two weeks ago now we met Tony and his family at Hershey Park for a mini vacation. Honestly I think it's the first real vacation that we have taken for fun.

We stayed in New Cumberland, which isn't too far from Hershey. Tony's crew consisted of his wife Christine, his daughter Ashley, and his mom and dad.

Everyone had a blast. Hershey Park is a fantastic family park. Plenty to do for everyone.

We spent two days at the park. The first day was mainly dedicated to walking the park and hitting as many kids rides as possible. Day two was a 3-D show, museum, water rides, and a couple adult rides.

The three kids had one of those old time western photos where you dress up. I need to scan it (mines dead) and post it because it came out fantastic.

Tony's family was in high spirits. It was so great to get to spend some time together. We were able to take the kids in the pool at the hotel and have some fun there as well. The water, however, was very freakin' cold! At night we had Nerf gun fights in the room. Watch out for Tony & Cade, they're good shots!

Cade and I were able to sneak out one morning early, before going to the park on the second day, and do a geocache. We wanted to place the Pooh Travel Bug in there that we found in Delaware.

It's a sad shame that Tony & Co. live so far away. It's that way for a lot of my friends now. Kinda sucks. I've been promising Tony for years now that we would visit him in Kentucky. Next year we are doing just that. The kids are excited and already asking when we can go.

I highly recommend Hershey Park. You'll have a great time. We did!

Check out the Flickr site for all kinds of new photos. I think there are 3 pages of new pictures. Enjoy!
